Transfer your citation

If you were not the driver, you may transfer responsibility to the person who was operating the vehicle.

Transfer is not permitted in the following States

Georgia, Iowa, Rhode Island

Citations issued in these states cannot be transferred to another driver. You must contest the citation through the court process instead.

Print and complete the Transfer of Liability form for your specific jurisdiction. Using the wrong form may result in denial of your transfer request.

How to transfer

  1. Log in to view your citation using the Citation Number and PIN on your notice, and click 'Transfer' to download your issuing agency's form.
  2. Complete all required fields and sign where indicated.
  3. Return the form by the due date listed on your citation.
  4. If you sold the vehicle, email a bill of sale to info@violationpayment.net.
If your citation is more than 90 days old, please call our processing center at (855) 252-0086 to get updated credentials.
